Once the internship is completed, students can apply for permanent registration with the NMC or the State Medical Council.

The FMGE 2025 application forms will be released by the NBE on its official website in April 2025 (Tentative). Candidates must complete and submit the application form before May 2025. Applicants must also note that the application form is considered valid only after the successful payment of the application fee. The application fee is INR 7080, with no relaxation for reserved categories. Candidates can pay the application fee through a debit or credit card, UPI, or net banking.

The FMGE exam is a computer-based examination with 300 multiple-choice questions from clinical, pre-clinical, and para-clinical subjects as per the MBBS curriculum. Each correct question will be awarded one mark, with no negative marks deducted for wrong answers. Students will not be awarded any marks for unattempted questions.

The FMGE 2025 admit cards will be issued by the National Board of Examinations on its official website a few days before the examination. The hall ticket is expected to be released in July 2025. Candidates must download the admit card from the official NBEMS website by logging in with their application number and password. Applicants are advised to carry a printout of their admit cards along with other necessary documents to the examination centre, as they will not be allowed to enter the exam center without the admit card.
The FMGE 2025 answer key is released by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) after the exam. It helps candidates estimate their scores before the official results are published. The FMGE 2025 results will be announced by the National Board of Examinations in the expected month of August*. The FMGE 2025 results will include the overall scores and qualifying status of the candidates. Also, qualifying candidates will be eligible to collect their pass certificates after completing the verification process.
