FMGE Exam 2025: The FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) is a licensing exam in India conducted for Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have completed their primary medical qualification from an institution outside India and want to practice medicine in the country. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts the exam twice a year.

The official notification for the FMGE June 2025 exam has been released by the board. The application forms will be available from April 2025, with the last date to apply being May 2025. Candidates must register themselves on the official website before the application deadline.

FMGE 2025 Exam

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is a mandatory licensure exam in India for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) who have earned their medical degrees from institutions outside of India and wish to practice medicine within the country. It's a screening test designed to ensure that these graduates meet the required standards and competencies to practice as medical professionals in India.

The application forms for the exam are expected to be released in 25 April 2025 and will be available till May 2025. The board will release the admit cards a few days before the exam on its official website www.natboard.edu.in. Candidates can access and download their admit cards from the official website using their login credentials.

The exam is expected to be held in July 2025, and the result will be announced in August 2025 by the National Board of Examinations. Applicants must score a minimum of 150 marks to qualify for receiving the passing certificate. After this, the students need to apply for provisional registration with the National Medical Council to practice medicine, followed by an internship in any hospital or medical college. Once the internship is completed, students can apply for permanent registration with the NMC or the State Medical Council.

FMGE 2025 Application Form

The FMGE 2025 application forms will be released by the NBE on its official website in April 2025 (Tentative). Candidates must complete and submit the application form before May 2025. Applicants must also note that the application form is considered valid only after the successful payment of the application fee. The application fee is INR 7080, with no relaxation for reserved categories. Candidates can pay the application fee through a debit or credit card, UPI, or net banking.

FMGE Exam 2025 Pattern and Marking Scheme

The FMGE exam is a computer-based examination with 300 multiple-choice questions from clinical, pre-clinical, and para-clinical subjects as per the MBBS curriculum. Each correct question will be awarded one mark, with no negative marks deducted for wrong answers. Students will not be awarded any marks for unattempted questions.

FMGE 2025 Syllabus

FMGE 2025 Admit Card:

The FMGE 2025 admit cards will be issued by the National Board of Examinations on its official website a few days before the examination. The hall ticket is expected to be released in July 2025. Candidates must download the admit card from the official NBEMS website by logging in with their application number and password. Applicants are advised to carry a printout of their admit cards along with other necessary documents to the examination centre, as they will not be allowed to enter the exam center without the admit card.

FMGE 2025 Answer Key

The FMGE 2025 answer key is released by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) after the exam. It helps candidates estimate their scores before the official results are published. Candidates can download the answer key from the official website of NBE at www.natboard.edu.in. Additionally, candidates can raise objections against the answer key within the specified timeframe, following the guidelines provided by NBE.

FMGE 2025 Result

The FMGE 2025 results will be announced by the National Board of Examinations in the expected month of August*. Candidates can check and download their results in PDF format from the official website, www.natboard.edu.in. The FMGE 2025 results will include the overall scores and qualifying status of the candidates. Also, qualifying candidates will be eligible to collect their pass certificates after completing the verification process.

FMGE 2025 Cut-off

As notified by the board, the FMGE exam has a uniform cut-off every year. It remains unchanged from previous years, ensuring a standard evaluation process. Candidates must score at least 50% of the total marks to qualify for provisional registration. The exam is of 300 marks, out of which the candidate must score 150 marks to qualify. The cut-off is the same for all candidates, with no relaxation for reserved categories. Qualifying the cut-off is mandatory to obtain the FMGE pass certificate and register with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Councils.
